DevOps Engineer – Missile Warning System

Mission: Defend the U.S. with Innovative Missile Defense Solutions

Join **Leidos** in a critical role supporting national defense through cutting-edge missile warning and defense technologies. We're seeking a talented engineer to contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of mission-critical software at Cheyenne Mountain and Peterson SFB, CO. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact systems that integrate data fusion, predictive analytics, and decision support tools.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and maintain software for missile defense systems

+ Support CI/CD automation through scripting and pipeline optimization (Jenkins, Bamboo)

+ Participate in agile sprint and increment testing to validate system functionality

+ Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to document and communicate technical solutions

+ Integrate and execute testing plans across the software development lifecycle

+ Engage in agile ceremonies (scrum, retrospectives, planning) to provide feedback and guide team direction

+ Build and deploy solutions aligned with industry standards and best practices

+ Coordinate with Systems Engineering to schedule and demonstrate capabilities to customers

+ Partner with third-party contractors and stakeholders to manage regression testing and deployment timelines

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline with **8+ years of relevant experience** (additional certifications or experience may substitute for education).

+ **U.S. Citizen;** Currently possess an active **DoD Secret Clearance** .

+ Proficiency in C++ and Python

+ Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and agile platforms (Jira)

+ Skilled in developing system tools and dashboards

+ Exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal communication abilities

+ Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master’s degree in associated field

+ Experience with missile warning and defense systems

+ Knowledge of missile warning message types

+ Proven abilities with agile software development processes aligned with U.S. Government standards

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
