    Summary:

    Meta’s Global Industry Marketing team is actively seeking a full-time and experienced marketing professional who will drive thought leadership initiatives on a global scale for key cross-company programs and events.The Thought Leadership Lead will be responsible for developing and driving programming strategy for complex, large-scale programs, including Meta’s 1P retail store, product launches, industry conferences and social moments. They will also be tasked with identifying and (and securing) corresponding programming partners, crafting thought leadership sessions and working with speakers to inspire local communities, and build awareness and drive adoption of Meta's portfolio of products. The Thought Leadership role will also require an extensive amount of relationship-building—from forging strategic partnerships with industry partners to gaining the trust of cross-functional partners and key stakeholders worldwide. They will also be responsible for collaborating with the rest of the Global Experiential and Industry Marketing team across messaging, partnerships and programming for relevant industry events. This individual will be joining Meta’s Global Industry Marketing team, responsible for Meta’s largest thought leadership and industry partnerships work across the company.The individual who ultimately steps into this role must possess exceptional organizational and communications skills—and a marketing mindset that is as strategic as it is creative. The Thought Leadership Lead must be someone who is a self starter and thrives in an extremely fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

    Required Skills:

    Thought Leadership Lead Responsibilities:

    1. Lead thought leadership programming for Meta's largest cross-company events and programs

    2. Drive programming strategy at large events and programs that support product launch goals

    3. Manage external agency vendor for speaker placement, pitching and logistics

    4. Work with other marketing and company functions (Communications, Sales, Product, among others) to establish the best programming approach for Meta Store strategy and activations

    5. Create bespoke partnerships with key industry organizations to foster connections and build programming for consumers interested in Meta technology

    6. Establish and manage an executive speaking program aligned to product opportunities and priorities, including identifying, vetting and securing speaking opportunities

    7. Assemble and manage an internal tiger team to deliver and produce content

    8. Support the wider Industry Marketing team on our thought leadership programming needs at internal and external events

    Minimum Qualifications:

    9. 12+ years of thought leadership programming experience, driving consumer-facing marketing programs

    10. Understanding of the technology landscape and new product launches as it relates to marketing and customer experiences—and of key challenges

    11. History of relationship-building, particularly with industry thought leaders, industry organization leaders, and decision makers

    12. Experience in developing and producing successful industry marketing programs (identifying and securing speaking engagements, developing and driving strategic positioning and messaging, etc.)

    13. Skilled when it comes to working cross-functionally and building long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders

    Public Compensation:

    $180,000/year to $252,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
