Summary:

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced **Design and Analysis Engineer** to support an innovative aerospace leader in **Berkeley, MO** . In this full-time, 12-month consulting role, you’ll take on a key technical position developing and integrating advanced avionics and mission systems that power the next generation of pilot training aircraft. Your engineering expertise will help shape the systems that keep aircrews safe, informed, and mission-ready.

What You’ll Do:

As a member of the Mission Systems Hardware team, you’ll play a critical role in developing, qualifying, and producing state-of-the-art avionics for the T-7A Advanced Pilot Training Program. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to ensure seamless integration and performance across hardware and software systems.

Key responsibilities include:

+ Leading development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements on complex aerospace projects.

+ Translating technical requirements into system architectures, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications.

+ Conducting testing and validation to verify system performance and compliance.

+ Managing and monitoring supplier performance to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery.

+ Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to foster professional growth and innovation.

+ Partnering with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

+ Researching and evaluating emerging technologies for potential application in mission system advancements.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Data Science.

+ Minimum of **9 years** of experience in systems engineering involving system requirements, design, and verification.

+ **9+ years** of experience with avionics hardware/software development, design, and production.

+ Proven experience in process development, qualification, integration, and resolving supplier technical challenges.

+ Expertise with hardware and LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) development, test, and qualification. **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.**

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 10+ years of related engineering experience.

+ Experience with **advanced cockpit display systems** such as HUD, UFCD, LAD, and other mission avionics.

+ Active U.S. **Secret Security Clearance** (strongly preferred).

+ Background in **defense or aerospace programs** and commercial/military avionics integration.

+ Experience managing supplier relationships and contributing to proposal development efforts.
