Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The Production Coordinator position reports to the Sr. Director of Operations and plays a key role within the Versant Sports Operations team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the production coordination needs of assigned remote Versant Sports broadcasts. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with studio-based colleagues as needed to help manage and facilitate all aspects of event logistics.
Responsibilities:
+ Support Production and Operations teams throughout all phases of production, both on remotes and in-studio.
+ Navigate internal databases and documentation related to broadcast schedules, crewing, and personnel management.
+ Assist with post-event budget reconciliation in coordination with the on-site Production Manager.
+ Manage all travel logistics for Talent, Production staff, and Crew, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation.
+ Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to manage remote and studio logistics, including crewing, scheduling, HR, facilities, IT, catering, and cleaning services.
+ Maintain fiscal responsibility by managing purchase cards and adhering to assigned event budgets.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders and broadcast partners to ensure timely delivery of show assets and support event logistics.
+ Provide general administrative support as needed to ensure smooth production operations.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field.
+ Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the television/film production business, preferably at a network or production facility.
+ Working knowledge of Excel and Smartsheet’s is a plus.
+ Basic knowledge of Sports production
+ Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
Eligibility Requirements:
+ Willingness to work overtime, and on nights and weekends as needed (flexibility in broadcast environment is imperative)
+ Must be willing to physically work out of our Stamford CT locations
+ Must be willing to travel if/when needed
+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
+ Must be 18 years or older

+ Ability to adhere to tight deadlines, communicate clearly and be able to handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
+ Interest in the Operations side of Sports Broadcasting.
+ Collaborative and team oriented.
+ Willingness to work flexible days/hours, including nights and weekends.
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
