Overview
As the **Manager, Vendor Marketing** , you will play a pivotal role in expanding REI’s strategic vendor partnerships. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that annual marketing plans with our top vendor partners drive measurable business and brand impact. Reporting to the Director of Vendor Marketing, you’ll manage marketing strategy, planning, and campaigns for a portfolio of brands, serving as the day-to-day marketing lead for both internal teams and vendor partners. As our team grows, you’ll have the opportunity to manage and mentor team members, providing guidance and oversight to deliver top-tier marketing strategy and execution. We’re looking for a senior marketer with exceptional omni-channel, full-funnel marketing experience—someone who can identify opportunities, create clarity, and has a passion for people, products, and the outdoors.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Leading the Way
+ Design annual marketing strategies and plans for strategic vendor partners, aligning joint business plans with enterprise marketing strategy.
+ Provide insights that connect to opportunities and inspire teams to deliver high-performing, impactful campaigns.
+ Serve as the primary marketing lead for a portfolio of vendor partners, offering strategic guidance, building alignment, and ensuring clear communication across teams and stakeholders.
+ Navigate complex situations and initiatives autonomously, proactively identifying and removing barriers for teams.
+ Mentor and manage team members as the team expands, setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering professional growth.
+ Create a collaborative, inclusive culture where teams and partners thrive, pushing boundaries to drive significant growth.
Your Planning & Navigating Requirements
+ Partner closely with the Director, Vendor Marketing to translate joint business plans and marketing strategies into actionable annual and seasonal plans.
+ Develop insight-driven co-marketing strategies that connect vendor and REI priorities to customer and member insights.
+ Advise on strategies to grow the business and enhance the brand, leveraging experience in multi-brand retail to find new customer opportunities.
+ Work directly with vendor partners and internal teams to design and execute marketing plans, ensuring campaigns are optimized for impact.
+ Monitor and track KPIs and campaign metrics, ensuring results and learnings are communicated and optimized.
+ Identify opportunities and trends to inform future marketing strategies and improve the vendor marketing program.
+ Support the Director in preparing executive updates for REI and vendor leadership, contributing insights and data that demonstrate program impact.
+ Share accountability for delivering portfolio business targets through differentiation and innovation, providing unmatched member and customer value.

Required Qualifications
+ 10+ years of experience in an integrated marketing role, including full-funnel, omni-channel marketing strategy, planning, and campaign management.
+ Exceptional relationship management skills at all organizational levels and with business partners.
+ Deep understanding of retail, with experience in multi-brand, omni-channel marketing.
+ Strong critical thinking skills and business acumen.
+ Proven experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams in a retail environment.
+ Adaptable and resilient in fast-changing environments.
+ Resourceful and entrepreneurial, able to create clarity in ambiguity.
