Title: IT Manager
Duties: This IT Manager will lead a team of engineers to maintain and modernize AutoZone’s systems built on legacy technologies. This includes managing both full-time and contractor resources across a geographically distributed environment including international teams with experience working in an ‘around the sun’ model. You will participate in talent acquisition and performance management including interviewing, hiring (selection), promotions, and official corrective performance management including demotion or termination. You will be responsible for multi-million-dollar enterprise software projects, including creation of budget, resource and delivery estimates and accountability to timelines, deliverables and risk mitigation. You will drive the technical delivery including coding, OS configurations, API integrations, proof of concepts, and patterns. This role will lead the identification and resolution of operational, technical, and coordination issues impacting system effectiveness; direct the design, development, and implementation of systems replacing legacy applications; lead implementation of new systems, including roll-out support, training, performance monitoring, and ongoing maintenance; and ensure systems maximize usability, accessibility, and customer experience. You will drive strategies and roadmaps for modernizing customer-focused application stacks and ensure architectural and design decisions adhere to company standards, focusing on performance, scalability, and resiliency. This role is crucial in aligning IT solutions with business objectives to enhance customer experience and maintain operational excellence. In order to meet this goal, you will collaborate with internal and external experts to align modern solutions with legacy systems and business processes; build trusted relationships with business partners at managerial and director levels; and manage vendor partner relationships, coordinating between internal and external resources. Internally, this IT Manager will oversee scheduling, control, and progress of system design, development, and installation activities; develop and track project plans and dependencies across complex projects; and communicate status, issues, and risks to executive-level stakeholders. You will also manage and prioritize a backlog of work, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery. You will also foster a motivated work environment that encourages creativity and productivity; develop technical talent and leadership within the team through coaching and mentoring; and encourage accountability and ownership within the team, driving innovation and modernization.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related and 10 years of software engineering experience, including:
+ Create Stored procedures, user-defined functions and write t-sql queries in SQL Server database.
+ Create web pages for internal tools using HTML, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery.
+ Creates database objects as required. Completes unit testing and peer review documentation as required.
+ Working with development team, integrates implemented code and database objects -into production environments. Performs smoke testing for released application as required.
+ Must also have 6 years of the following:
+ Design, develop, and maintain software and web applications and/or subsystems using Spring boot, Java and object-oriented programming
+ eCommerce experience for a multinational company with global teams and managing resources across a geographically distributed environment
+ Designing large-scale solutions, including system security measures, deployed to cloud providers including Microsoft Azure and GCP and integrated capabilities specific to those platforms
+ Designing, implementing, and deploying large-scale, highly available, service-basedsoftware systems (REST, micro-services), especially extensible platforms that support ecosystems of third-party application/plugin developers.
+ Project management including software testing in agile environment including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
+ Integration and implementation of Kibo Order Management solution including configuration and middleware development
