Our Columbus Engine Center (CEC) is seeking a highly motivated, capable, self-directed individual for a Process Engineer role in support of the Military Engine Center of Excellence (MECoE) which returns the F100 and F117 engine/modules back to service.
As a Process Engineer, the core role responsibilities are centered around establishing, monitoring, and maintaining process build methods while collaborating with CIPT/Module Centers, CTS, and our internal operations and quality teams (Gated Teams) to ensure accurate and on time process plans. The Columbus Engine Center’s Gated Teams configuration symbolizes the criticality of all functional areas collaborating and selflessly partnering together to ensure right first-time execution.
This role will also perform a technical advisory role in the disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of jet engines as well as support other functions within CEC including Materials, Quality, and Accounts Management when routine technical questions and issues arise.
What You Will Do:
+ Workscope development which includes definition of incoming and outgoing part number and configuration, applicable Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO's), scheduled overhaul/ unscheduled requirements and specific customer requirements
+ Support Operations in solving any assembly/configuration/inspection problems
+ Create and maintain accurate process plans
+ Engine/Module record review and revision and engine/Module configuration management in SAP
+ Provide timely responses to Customer and Engineering technical Questions (IPFs) and requests for changes within the Engine Maintenance System
+ Perform appropriate research, supporting and advising other functional areas regarding technical issues related to quality, operations processes, materials and customer support.
+ You will seek opportunities to reduce costs and increase quality and efficiency through the use of new materials, processes or technology.
+ Assist in training mechanics, inspectors and others related to various technical issues.
+ Demonstrate dedication to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by aligning with all policies and procedures, finishing the required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
+ Participate in failure investigations and Problem Resolution Boards.
+ Tooling design and modification
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Bachelor's degree in STEM field of study and 2 years of work experience to include aerospace manufacturing engineering, review and development of work instructions and process improvement or an Advanced degree and less than a year of experience as listed above.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Experience reading and/or interpreting engine manuals primarily USAF Technical Orders (TO) and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO)
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP andSolumina G8 or equivalent Engine Maintenance System
+ Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) for aircraft engine or the aerospace field
+ Experience automating tasks via programming

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
