PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Lead Generation Marketing Mortgage Manager at our San Antonio, Texas or Tysons, Virginia location. The Manager of Lead Generation Marketing for Mortgage will develop and execute marketing strategies targeting members and prospects seeking mortgage financing year-round. The role supports various mortgage products, including VA loans, FHA loans, and first-time home buyer programs, through strategic marketing initiatives and rate-based opportunities.
This role will be responsible for supporting strategy development, go-to-market planning, and implementing direct response marketing campaigns to drive mortgage lead volume, including pre-approvals. The role will help architect lead generation strategies across multiple channels, including paid search, social media, display advertising, rate table marketing, affiliate programs, email, and direct mail. Success requires effective coordination with cross-functional teams, including Loan Products, Secondary Marketing, Sales, Loan Originations, IT, Legal, Compliance, Change Management, Enterprise Marketing, and internal/external agencies.

+ Assist in the overall product marketing strategy for Mortgage purchase, including B2C go-to-market strategies and communication touchpoints for any new product offerings or promotions.
+ Drive direct response marketing in support of channels including digital media (paid search, social media, email, digital out of home) and traditional direct mail to deliver on business goals.
+ Collaborate with cross functional teams, including creative teams (internal and external agencies), digital experience, PenFed.org, paid digital, procurement, operations, product, business controls, compliance and legal to ensure consistency, accuracy and alignment on all efforts.
+ Produce materials and reporting to support meetings, presentations, webinars, taskforces, and marketing communications for product marketing initiatives and assigned projects and may occasionally report performance.
+ Contribute to the annual campaign calendar for PenFed Mortgage, including deployment dates, messaging, and testing to align with business KPIs and allocated budget.
+ Helps track and manage the associated budget and ensure alignment with PenFed branding, as well as full reporting on campaign effectiveness; works with a roster of agencies, including internal and external agencies.
+ Continuously assess campaign results to drive decision-making and marketing recommendations.
+ Intake data and insights from multiple groups and sources and distill into actionable offers and plans that meet members and market needs.
+ Work with cross-functional teams for compliance and legal changes, updating and coordinating reviews for marketing materials across channels.
+ Assist the presentation of marketing plans to various internal stakeholders, including the marketing, product, analytics and management teams.
+ Help the Marketing team to develop and optimize offers and fulfillment processes to ensure positive membership and prevent regulatory concerns.
+ Demonstrate ability to make data-driven decisions while considering the member needs and mindset.
+ Take feedback from other teams in an objective manner and incorporate into overall strategy as necessary.
+ Assist with other product marketing projects as needed.
+ Travel/attend PenFed sponsored events which require support.

Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or related field required.
+ Demonstrated experience in building integrated, go-to-market marketing campaigns that leverage direct response digital and traditional marketing, with an emphasis on paid digital media, email, video, and direct mail.
+ Proficiency in marketing Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Journey Builder, and Google Analytics/GA4 a plus.
+ Experience with paid search platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) and affiliate marketing platforms and programs.
+ Experience with lead purchasing programs and platforms within the mortgage industry.
+ Knowledge of landing page and A/B testing methodologies.
+ Proficiency in reporting and Tableau data visualization tools.
+ Expertise in product marketing strategy and project management principles and practices; Asana experience a plus.
+ Strong writer and ability to build presentations, strong leadership skills, with ability to lead meetings and present to senior level management and ability to conduct research, report on findings.
+ Excellent communications, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
+ Must possess a strong work ethic and be an enthusiastic team player.
+ Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
+ Experience in financial services or highly regulated industry a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not supervise employees.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Travel
