    Description

    OVERVIEW

    Cadrex is searching for a Truck Driver who will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of raw materials, components, and finished goods between manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and customers. This role ensures that deliveries are completed in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and delivery schedules. The driver will also be responsible for vehicle inspections, load securement, and maintaining accurate records of shipments.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Operate company trucks to transport goods to and from designated locations

    + Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to route schedules and safety regulations

    + Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment

    + Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition

    + Report any maintenance issues or mechanical problems to the appropriate department

    + Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) and company safety guidelines

    + Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

    + Ensure all shipping paperwork, including bills of loading and delivery receipts, is properly completed

    + Comply with federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations

    + Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams

    + Communicate any delays, issues, or concerns to the Logistics Manager or Dispatch team

    + Represent the company positively while on the road and at delivery sites

    + Verify that shipments match delivery manifests before departure

    + Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting and damage during transit

    + Assist in warehouse operations when needed, such as loading and unloading trucks

    Requirements

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + 2+ years of truck driving experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment preferred

    + Valid [State] CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) – Class A

    + Able to pass a DOT physical

    + Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices

    + Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment (preferred)

    + Excellent time management and organizational skills

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery instructions

    + Good communication and problem-solving skills

    + Ability to sit for extended periods while driving

    + Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed

    EDUCATION

    + High School Diploma

    + Certification from an accredited CDL school a plus

    SCHEDULE

    + Monday-Thursday; 5:30am-4:00pm

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
