    About this role:

    As a General Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in total hip & total knee replacement, part of the Musculoskeletal team at Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you can expect to work at Platte Valley and Saint Joseph Hospital; seeing a mix of OR and in-office orthopedic surgical patients.

     

    The team at these locations have 12 providers: 5 APPs, 4 MDs and 3 DPMs. Fellow physicians specialize in total joint, hip/knee arthroplasty and primary care sports medicine. We are currently seeking a General Orthopedic Surgeon who has experience as a total joint provider.

     

    + This position includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (if applicable)

    + You will practice at Platte Valley and Saint Joseph Hospital; there will be occasional needs at the Good Samaritan Hospital

    + You can anticipate 2 days per week in surgery and dedicated in-office clinic days 3 days per week

    + Orthopedic Q5 calls, required to take 91 days per year; compensation offered for call requirement

    + You can anticipate occasional ER calls, inpatient consults and rounding with APPs

     

    An ideal candidate will have experience or interest in total joint replacements, hip/knee. Ortho robotic surgery and shoulder/arm experience are a plus but not required.

    What you’ll bring:

    + Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree; or equivalent if education is completed outside the United States

    + Completion of graduate fellowship medical education training program in Orthopedic Surgery

    + Graduate education must be obtained through an ACGME or AOA accredited institution

    + ABMS or equivalent AOA Board Certification in the specialty(s) or subspecialty(s) of practice

    + Active Medical Licensure, or in process of obtaining licensure, is required in the state in which physician will practice

    + Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers

    + DEA Registration schedules II-V

    + Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

     

    $7.25 - $999.99
