Essential Functions: Unarmed security officers assigned to the Religious Facilities will be expected to perform fixed site security services to support religious and educational gatherings. Specialized security officers will utilize training and best practices to provide a safe and secure environment for students and congregants at the facility, without direct supervision and flexibility to manage security concerns at a priority-based approach. Candidates for this position should be prepared to handle physical security responsibilities while also utilizing access control technology, CCTV systems and work with facility managers to manage the flow of persons through the facility.

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Maintain safe and secure environment for patrons and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel

+ Greet visitors and maintain access control logs

+ Provide a strong security presence

This position operates under the Special Operations Department, which has a diverse client base as well as multitude of service types. Staff working in the Special Operations Department are comfortable working independently, without direct supervision and must be able to handle a variety of complex situations. Logic based reasoning, analytical skills and excellent communication skills are prerequisites for working within this department.

This is an upscale security position that requires professional attire; suit and tie and the appearance of neatness and respectability. Applicants will be required to meet high standards of grooming.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

This position requires you to undergo an extensive 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, credit, education, and personal references.

+ Three years + experience in a supervisory capacity

+ Five years + experience in Law Enforcement, Military, and or Private Security/Government Contract

+ Must be at least 21 years old

+ Must have a valid State Security License

+ Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand the English language

+ High School Diploma or G.E.D.

+ Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes, exams, and inspections as administered in accordance with federally regulated mandates and corporate policy

+ Must have access to reliable transportation

Language Skills:English Proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking)

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

Work is performed in a combination of indoor/outdoor environments. Must have sufficient visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses; sufficient auditory ability, with or without audio logical devices; capable of being on ones feet for extended periods of time.

With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and cognitive requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines possibly on uneven terrain.
