    If you are a project management professional looking for an opportunity to grow, or interested in becoming a project management professional, the Actuation Technologies team at Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Houston, Texas location, you will be responsible for leading Actuation Technologies’ global New Product Development team through the development of its next generation actuation platform, driving Agile processes across cross-functional engineering teams—including mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software—to deliver innovative, high-quality products on time, within scope, and on budget while keeping in mind risks and developing associated mitigation plans.

     

    As a Project Manager for the New Product Development team, you will apply your existing skills while continuing to develop on the fundamentals of project management, with support from your peers and leaders. You will be expected to learn quickly while being closely supported as you start your journey.

    In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

    + Create detailed workplans using project management tools and standard processes to meet goals

    + Manage Agile backlogs and lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews

    + Track progress with metrics and visual controls, adjusting plans as needed

    + Set project cadence meetings, share notes, and maintain stakeholder communication

    + Identify and resolve cross-team dependencies and remove execution blockers

    + Proactively manage risks with mitigation and corrective action plans

    + Ensure deliverables meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements

    + Support design reviews, testing, validation, and adherence to standards and regulations

    For This Role, You Will Need:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM, or Business

    + 2+ years’ experience

    + Attention to detail and superior analytical skills

    + Ability to handle multiple priorities

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Strong organization skills

    + Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position

    Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

    + Agile project management experience preferred

    + Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software development lifecycles.

    + Engineering degree preferred

    + Team leadership

    + PMP
