    Role Overview

     

    As a **Clinical Laboratory Scientist I** , you will perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures to ensure accurate and timely patient results. This role includes preparing reagents, reviewing and overseeing moderate to high complexity testing, maintaining laboratory instruments, and ensuring all work complies with established procedures and regulatory standards.

     

    You will play a vital role in supporting the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory operations, contributing to BayCare’s mission of providing exceptional, patient-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform diagnostic testing and quality control according to established policies and procedures.

    + Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory supplies and materials.

    + Review and oversee moderate to high complexity testing for accuracy and compliance.

    + Monitor and maintain laboratory instruments and computer applications.

    + Report test results accurately and promptly.

    + Participate in troubleshooting, maintenance, and process improvement initiatives.

    + Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

    + Perform other related laboratory duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • **Certification & Licensure**

    + **Required:** State of Florida – Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

    • **Education**

    + **Required:** Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field

    + **Preferred:** Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

    • **Experience**

    + Clinical laboratory experience required

    + Minimum four months of experience in a laboratory setting
