Job Summary and Qualifications
Provides the management and leadership to effectively lead, support, coordinate and manage construction and remodel projects of varying degree of complexity. Takes projects from design through completion, providing advice and assistance to all levels of staff and management groups to facilitate resource planning and meet regulatory requirements. Determines support, direction and/or strategies necessary to solve significant problems related to successful project completion. Provides regular schedule and budget updates indicating project performance. Oversees one FTE responsible for the management of the Complyos and life safety documentation.
+ You will prepare/review project work plan, scope, schedule and budget, and communicate these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget and quality objectives.
+ You will direct project team and client compliance with contract terms and monitors subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments.
+ You will participate in project evaluation, consultant selection, and the preparation of qualification/experience statements.
+ You will supervise technical professionals, associate project managers and design staff including workload and staffing management.
+ You will ensure the accuracy and completeness of Total Project; conducting initial analysis of specifications and drawings; attending and organizing preconstruction and kick-off meetings; soliciting vendor and subcontractor pricing; obtaining building permit quotes; coordinating multi-disciplinary pricing; coordinate estimates of the cost of the estimating department(s) and man-hours; benchmarking material; adhering to budgets.
+ You will complete objectives according to schedule and manages cost in accordance with budget.
+ You will have the ability to handle multiple projects with various priorities simultaneously.
+ You will have the ability to create ICRA/PRCA documents in collaboration with the hospital Infection Prevention team, Facilities Management and Emergency Management.
+ You will manage the daily activities of contractors and sub-contractors; the daily regulatory documentation related to Infection Prevention and Interim Life Safety Measures needed for multiple construction projects.
+ You will manage and perform daily, weekly and monthly ILSM training in coordination with the facility Safety Manager for hospital staff as needed to ensure the safety of the patients, staff, visitors and building.
+ You will manage and coordinate the shutdown and connections of utility systems throughout the facility during all phases of construction, including all necessary due diligence to ensure the safety of the patient environment.
What qualifications you will need:
+ High School diploma or equivalency
+ Bachelor's degree preferred
+ 5+ years of experience in a maintenance related or construction field
+ 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
