Job Summary and Qualifications
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Performs evaluations and services to patients of various age groups. Collects data and renders a professional opinion about treatment and care.
SUPERVISOR: Practice Manager
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Performs vocational rehabilitation assessment in a timely manner; dictates interdisciplinary report to clinical record within the required time frames.
• Initiates and documents discharge planning within required timeframe.
• Documents therapy note on the clinical record.
• Formulates and reviews initial and comprehensive treatment plans within the required time frame.
• Identifies and documents patient care needs.
• Works closely with the interdisciplinary team to assure appropriate patient care.
• Knows, understands, maintains and monitors patients’ rights.
• Provides patient/family emotional support and education
• Meets in-service requirements including mandatory education
• Perform other duties as required.
• Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
• Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
EDUCATION:
• Post Graduate degree
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience
• Experience documenting in an electronic medical record
Preferred:
• 2+ years of diagnostic/forensic interviewing experience
• History of working in a medical model child abuse clinic as a diagnostic interviewer
• Successful completion of at least one child interviewing protocol training (** **RADAR** **– Recognizing Abuse Disclosures And Responding,** **NCAC** **- National Child Advocacy Center Child Forensic Interview Structure,** **APSAC** **– American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children Practice Guidelines,** **ChildFirst** **Forensic Interviewing,** **CornerHouse** **Forensic Interview Protocol)
• Ability to present and educate others on best practices when interviewing children
• Experience testifying in court proceedings
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
• A Clinical Mental Health Counselor license or Independent Clinical Social Worker license is required in accordance to state regulations.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in North Carolina
• Master of Social Work degree from an accredited university

• Ability to provide quality patient care in accordance with applicable standards, policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain the strictest patient confidentiality
• Ability to communicate effectively and keep a positive attitude with patients, peers, providers, employers, insurers, and family members.
• Ability to react calmly to emergency situations
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
• Ability to follow verbal instructions
• Ability to make decisions under pressure; manage stress appropriately; manage anger/fear/hostility/ violence of others appropriately.
• Possess above average organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer relations skills.
• Ability handle multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Open to consistent and recurrent constructive feedback
• Flexibility
• Staying up to date on research informed practice
• Complete documentation in a timely manner
• Experience working with people in crisis situations
• History of working directly with victims of child abuse and their families
• Excellent communication skills
