    About the Role:

    Join CBRE as a Validation Documentation Technician, where you’ll play a key role in calibrating, maintaining, and performing minor repairs on scientific instrumentation. This position is part of our Critical and Technical Services team, which supports technical maintenance in highly regulated client environments.

     

    In this role, you’ll assist with thermal mapping and validation activities for autoclaves and temperature-controlled environments within a pharmaceutical production setting. The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical expertise, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You’ll be responsible for executing validation protocols, adjusting equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

    Schedule:

    This is a Monday–Friday administrative role. However, occasional support during non-standard hours, including weekends, may be required for validation activities.

    What You’ll Do:

    + **Develop and revise validation protocols for autoclave cycles and parameters.**

    + **Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, calibrate, and maintain equipment and control systems.**

    + **Operate and maintain test equipment.**

    + **Participate in weekly planning meetings to review upcoming assignments.**

    + **Assess autoclave systems to understand operational requirements and sanitary connections.**

    + **Set up and execute validation tasks using specialized instrumentation and software.**

    + **Calibrate sensors and verify performance using reference standards and built-in software.**

    + **Collaborate with Process Engineers and Production teams to design validation load configurations.**

    + **Install thermocouple wires and biological indicators (e.g., spore strips/ampoules) in load setups.**

    + **Conduct thermal mapping studies and collect biological samples for analysis.**

    + **Document validation activities and observations in real-time during protocol execution.**

    + **Analyze thermal mapping data and prepare qualification and summary reports.**

    + **Identify part sources and provide cost estimates.**

    + **Maintain daily records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.**

    + **Coordinate with external contractors for repairs under maintenance agreements.**

    + **Assist in developing procedures for equipment maintenance and calibration.**

    What You’ll Need:

    + **High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED or equivalent experience, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Must have appropriate license or certification where required by law.**

    + **Fulfill the physical demands of this position such as bending, walking, climbing, and lifting heavy objects over 50 lbs.**

    + **Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.**

    + **Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.**

    + **Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.**

    + **Strong organizational skills with a curious attitude.**

    + **Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.**
