What We Want
Instructs, monitors and directs campers ages 6-18 in the marine sciences fields. Ensures compliance with all safety rules and regulations. Responsible for teaching students in a variety of settings including canters, whole group instruction and field activities. May be required to drive a University vehicle for various purposes. Performs other duties as assigned.

Starting Pay: $25.00

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Experience leading, directing or advising children 6-18 years old.
+ Knowledge of natural history, biology, ecology, and related fields.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Desire and ability to work with children outdoors in varied conditions.
+ Ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers.
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ Master’s degree
+ Previous Sea Camp experience
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
+ First Aid CPR; Driver’s License
Responsibilities:
SUMMER SEA CAMP INSTRUCTION/GUIDE - Guides the Summer Camp Outreach Programs to people of all ages.
1) Sea Camp -- a week-long residential adventure exploring the wonders of the marine and estuarine environments for campers ages 10-18;
2) Sea Campus Kids -- a marine oriented day program for campers ages 6-11
SAFETY AND OTHER- Ensures compliance with all safety rules and regulations. Responsible for teaching students in a variety of settings including canters, whole group instruction and field activities. May be required to drive a University vehicle for various purposes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements and Factors
+ Requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments with groups of children.
+ This position is security sensitive.
+ This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures.
+ All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements.
