    Job Purpose Summary

    + The **Material Handler III** position is responsible to perform multiple activities at the Distribution Center (DC) under little to no supervision at an advanced level. A summary of responsibilities includes receiving of material, picking, staging, packing and the delivering material for domestic and international shipments to its final destination, as well as various administrative functions within the department. This individual may operate materials handling equipment following standard safety and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Safety is the highest importance, including personal safety, co-worker safety and product safety. Training junior level material handlers with lesser activities within the Distribution Center may be required. Perform essential duties and responsibilities in a manner that promotes the company’s mission and core values.

    What you will do

    + Perform all distribution center activities with a high level of accuracy and competence, as this level is considered an expert in all departments and areas of the DC, which may include performing back-up for other Leads.

    + Under no supervision consistently maintains acceptable levels of productivity with a high level of accuracy related to picking, packing, staging, shipping, put-away and counting of all DC materials.

    + Obtain materials from bins or shelves to ensure the completeness and correctness of orders filled for domestic and international customer orders.

    + Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment for self and co-workers while consistently demonstrating principals of safety for self and others into daily activities.

    + Complies with and maintains records and performs data entry of all required product/inventory on RF Smart Handgun.

    + Perform different data entry activities, using either a CPU or an RF Smart Handgun to perform various required activities such as: picking, packing, staging, shipping, product put-away, cycle counting, and other general distribution activities.

    + Responsible for reporting all variances during a picking process and notifying inventory matters to the attention of a lead to be addressed or resolved.

    + Maintains customer orders being processed and maintains and ensure key documents are submitted as per SOPs.

    + Compiles, maintains, and performs data entry from such documents as customer orders (pick tickets), schedules, stock transfers, and requisitions.

    + Follow assigned daily activities based on DC need and requirement, these areas of assignment are in the pick/pack area, “consolidated” shipping area, Inventory and the receiving area. Each department has specific requirements that can be found in the SOP’s and Work Instructions that are available for each activity within each department

    What you will need

    + High school diploma or GED equivalent.

    + 1-3 years of related experience.

    + Experience in distribution center operations or previous warehouse experience.

    + Experience performing detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced working environment.

    + Must possess general office skills, computer, typing ability, and be able to operate various office machines (Copier, Computer, RF Gun).

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements

    • Work is performed in a warehouse environment.

    • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs., 10lbs. frequently for a distance of 15ft.

    • Consistent standing required and use of arms for the role.

    • Occasional Walking, Bending, Twisting and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.

    • Carrying up to 10 lbs. occasional for a distance of 15ft, 30 ft. must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

    • Flexible to work overtime and weekends if required.

    • New Associate training in SOP(s) & Quality Control requirements regarding product safety and acceptable employee behavior practices.

    _A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this role is $18-$21/hour. Further, pay is offered based on geographic location, internal equity, market data, applicant’s job-related skills, commensurate experience, required licensures, certifications, and certain degrees._
