    **Job Title:** Sr Embedded Software Developer

    **Location:** Bloomington, MN (4 days/wk on-site)

    **Pay Range:** $90/hr

    **Term:** 6 Month Contract, potential extension

    **Job Summary** :

     

    We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Developer Contractor to support the development and integration of a camera replacement solution within our semiconductor capital equipment systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in embedded systems, camera interfaces, and real-time software development, with a strong understanding of hardware-software integration in high-precision industrial environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design, develop, and test embedded software for camera replacement in semiconductor inspection/metrology tools.

    + Interface with Systems engineering to ensure seamless integration of new camera modules (e.g., Camera Link, USB, GigE, MIPI).

    + Develop and optimize drivers, firmware, and real-time control software for image acquisition and processing.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to validate camera performance.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to camera communication, synchronization, and image quality.

    + Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure high-quality and reliable operation.

    + Perform design/code reviews for all deliverables, unit tests, and collaborating with the systems engineers, software developers, and other technical staff

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or automation industries.

    + Excellent skillset focused on Windows development, the .NET platform (C#, C++)

    + Experience with camera protocols and standards (e.g., Camera Link, GenICam, GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, MIPI CSI).

    + Familiarity with RTOS or bare-metal development.

    + Strong debugging skills using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

    + Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

    + Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.

    + Demonstrated ability to work autonomously exhibiting strong self-motivation and initiative. Capable of independently acquiring knowledge and mastering new skills through on-the-job training (OJT) and self-directed learning

    + Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with FPGA or microcontroller-based camera interfaces.

    + Prior experience with camera calibration and alignment.
