• Production Engineer Assistant Manager

    Our client, within the Automotive industry, is seeking a Production Engineering Assistant Manager to join their team. As a Production Engineering Assistant Manager, you will be part of the Production Engineering team supporting seat assembly production engineering. This person will have 1 direct report but still 50% of the time, be hands on technically.

     

    Job Title: Production Engineering Assistant Manager

     

    Pay Range: $103,000-$128,750/Yearly + 3% Bonus Annually

     

    What’s the Job?

     

    + Supervise and develop Seat Assembly Production Engineering (PE) team in the establishment and setup of production processes within just in time (JIT) automotive manufacturing plants.

    + Create and evaluate process plans and production preparation plans for new Seat Assembly processes.

    + Create and evaluate process flow, layout, work combination and equipment specs.

    + Supervise supplier selection process for sourcing of tools and equipment.

    + Control budget and track budget related activities.

    + 50/50 on technical hands on engineering work and management duties

    + Occasional travel to Athens, AL plant (2 hours from Mississippi plant).

     

    What’s Needed?

     

    + Bachelors Degree preferred. Associate's Degree in lieu of experience.

    + 2+ years of supervising experience (having direct reports)

    + Automotive industry preferred. Will entertain another industry with same regulations/processes.

    + Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder

    + Understanding of PLCs. Don't need to program them, but familiar with Ladder Logic.

    + Familiar with AutoCAD.

    **Will offer relocation package - $6,000 lump sum**
