    We are currently hiring a Independent Skills Educator , to work in our Community Maternity Services Office .   As the Independent Skills Educator , you would be responsible for:

     

    + Assess residents’ independent living skills using the Ansel Casey Assessment (every six months) and document results in the CONX system.

    + Conduct pre- and post-tests to evaluate Independent Living (IL) knowledge and skills.

    + Develop and implement individualized IL plans based on assessment results.

    + Assist residents in job searches, job readiness, and career development.

    + Serve as a job coach and establish relationships with local employers.

    + Participate in weekly staff meetings and treatment meetings as scheduled.

    + Communicate with Residential Managers, Caseworkers and treatment team to ensure a coordinated approach to youth services.

    + Independent Skills Educator Minimum Salary: $20.00 per hour

     

    Independent Skills Educator Maximum Salary: $22.00 per hour

     

    Independent Skills Educator Schedule: Weekdays (part-time, 21 hours a week)

    Qualifications:

    + - Associate Degree in Human Services or related field, Bachelor's degree preferred

    + - A valid driver’s license and maintain required vehicle insurance with access to a vehicle during work hours

    + - 1-3 years of relevant experience
