    Primary Function of Organizational Unit

    The Office of Transfer Services is responsible for providing quality services necessary for maximizing enrollment growth and retention. It effectively communicates information to prospective transfer applicants and application that have been offered admissions.

     

    Primary Purpose of Position

     

    The primary purpose of the position is to process transfer admissions applications and required documents for consideration, provide quality services necessary for maximizing enrollment growth and retention, and to utilize technology that enhances the deliver of outstanding customer services.

     

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    The successful candidate must posses Knowledge of FERPA guidelines and North Carolina Central University and UNC System policies and procedures; knowledge of BANNER and AdmissionPros or an equivalency system; knowledge of office and record management; knowledge of preparing correspondence; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; ability to work flexible schedules; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills; excellent editing skills; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.

    Minimum Education/Experience

    High School Diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

    Use Banner System and AdmissionPros to process application documents; Monitor email accounts for transfer students applications/documents; Coordinate document maintenance security of records and file management, and by processing mail.

    Software and Hardware Operation: Assist with performing required testing during software implementation; Utilize new software/technology to enhance work process; Operate all required equipment at appropriate level; Identify and report system problems to supervisor,.

    Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule; Respond to customers inquiries in timely manner; Communicate information accurately.
