Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Scientist I (Chemistry) for our Medical Supply & Instrumentation partner in Sunnyvale, CA.
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $29 and $30. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

The Scientist I, Manufacturing Sciences, will be responsible for the synthesis of functionalized resins used in columns.
• Use manufacturing protocols to accurately characterize raw and functionalized resins for column production and routine analysis of monomer and organic molecules using a variety of analytical techniques.
• Address and report problems in daily manufacturing and propose effective countermeasures
• Communicate effectively with other production staff regarding delays, issues in production, etc.
• Interact efficiently in a cross functional setting between several departments
• Collaborate in Practical Process Improvement initiatives to improve overall quality and yields of various synthesized resins
• Participate in 5S, JDI, and Safety initiatives
Requires a Bachelors degree or higher in Chemistry, emphasis on Analytical Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry is a plus
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment
• Direct experience with analytical and polymer chemistry
• Experience with generating and following quality control documents or procedures in compliance with quality standard ISO9001.
• Ability to perform various analytical chemistry techniques: HPLC/LC-MS, GC-MS, Karl Fischer Titration, Elemental Analysis, Size Distribution, Surface Area Analysis, etc.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing environments and standard chemistry techniques and principles
• Familiarity working with standard software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
**Pay Details:** $29.00 to $30.00 per hour
