    About the Opportunity

     

    My client, a well-established insurance and financial services organization in Honolulu, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their Individual Life Client Relations team.

     

    In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers and agents — helping policyholders with their questions, providing clear guidance, and ensuring an exceptional service experience with every interaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Serve as the frontline contact for policyholders, agents, and internal departments.**

    + **Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence.**

    + **Explain policy features, benefits, billing, and statements clearly and accurately.**

    + **Process policy updates, payments, and service requests with attention to detail.**

    + **Research and resolve customer issues while maintaining strong follow-up and communication.**

    + **Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of company products and procedures.**

    + **Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless customer service delivery.**

    Qualifications

    + **Associate’s degree required.**

    + **1+ year of customer service experience (insurance or financial services preferred).**

    + **Experience in a call center or high-volume customer service environment a plus.**

    + **Ability to obtain a Hawai‘i State Life Insurance License within 3 months of hire.**

    + **Strong written and verbal communication skills.**

    + **Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities.**

    + **Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and Windows applications.**

    + **Adaptable, cooperative, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.**

    Preferred Attributes

    + **Interest in growing within the insurance or financial services field.**

    + **Empathetic and professional communicator with strong emotional intelligence.**

    + **Detail-oriented and resilient under pressure.**

    + **Willingness to pursue continued education (e.g., LOMA ACS designation).**

    Schedule & Environment

    + **Full-time, Monday–Friday (on-site in Honolulu).**

    + **Standard business hours with occasional overtime as needed.**

    + **Supportive and professional office setting focused on teamwork and customer care.**
