Sit-Down Machine Operating Position on 1st Shift

Job Description

Join our Cannula Department, where you will operate various machines on the manufacturing floor, producing fine wires. This role involves tasks such as buffing, grinding, bending, crimping, and twisting wires. You will primarily use a foot pedal to operate these machines at your own pace. The role requires good fine motor skills to feed thin wires into machine holes. Training will be provided on multiple machines, including visual inspection and measurement checks with micrometers and calipers. You will also perform documentation tasks and read from work instructions. Opportunities for cross-training to other machine stations and clean room areas are available.

Responsibilities

+ Operate machines to produce fine wires, including buffing, grinding, bending, crimping, and twisting.

+ Use foot pedals to control machines at a comfortable pace.

+ Feed thin wires into production machine holes with precision.

+ Visually inspect and measure products using micrometers and calipers.

+ Perform documentation tasks and follow work instructions.

+ Cross-train in other machine stations and clean room areas, if interested.

Work Environment

This is a medical-regulated work environment, but the Cannula Department is outside the clean room. The shop is well-lit, organized, and was built only two years ago. The work is mostly sitting, with occasional standing. A beautiful break room is available, equipped with vending machines, fridges, and microwaves. Machines are safe but require comfort with larger equipment. The role requires working with thin medical coils, demanding attention to detail and good dexterity. The position is for the 1st shift, from 6am to 2pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.25/hr.
