Job Title: Processor

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and ensuring the highest quality standards in food manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

+ Physically load raw materials such as spices, sugars, and seasonings into machines.

+ Maintain both paper and electronic logs of materials fed into machines.

+ Operate machines to ensure products are processed for the correct duration.

+ Perform quality checks on products as they come out of machines and are fed into containers.

+ Mix finished products according to established formulas and monitor production needs.

+ Prepare the deck set-up for the daily schedule and operate equipment to aid in processing formulas.

+ Use local control panels to manage the addition of all metered and manually added ingredients.

+ Transfer batches as needed and lift up to 50 pounds.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in food manufacturing and processing.

+ Proficiency as a processing machine operator.

+ Familiarity with GMP and HACCP standards.

+ Strong quality control skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Related experience in food processing is preferred but not required.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and standard operating procedures in English.

+ Possess math skills necessary to verify quantities of ingredients.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced food processing facility where teamwork is essential. You will work around machines, and the area can be wet at times due to sanitation procedures. Hearing protection is required due to the constant operation of machinery, which results in a dull hum in the processing bay.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $22.81/hr.
