Job Title: Production Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Production Machinist. In this role, you will assist in the machining of large metal parts for production, operating a 4-axis horizontal mill, and contributing to a process-driven environment.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in machining large metal parts for production.
+ Operate 4-axis horizontal mills efficiently.
+ Change inserts, clean, and maintain the work area around the machine.
+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
+ Perform production run setups and use appropriate tooling, fixturing, and segment selection.
+ Adhere to safety procedures for grinders and other equipment.
+ Adjust machine settings to meet specified requirements and verify dimensions of stock.
+ Keep workstation organized and proactively manage workstation preparation and cleanup.
Essential Skills
+ 1-3 years of machining experience.
+ Mechanical inclination and proficiency with hand tools.
+ Experience with calipers and micrometers.
+ Proven mechanical aptitude and basic math comprehension.
+ Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
+ Experience in running 24" and 36" grinders.
+ Experience in production run setups and use of tooling, fixturing, and segment selection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Interest in becoming a production machinist.
+ Eagerness to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with CNC operation and blueprint reading.

Work Environment
The work environment is an open industrial machine shop with open bay doors. You will be working at a machine shop located approximately 0.5 miles away from the headquarters in Wilsonville, OR. The dress code is typical for an industrial setting, and safety procedures are strictly followed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
