Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This Level 3 role involves maintaining and operating a wide range of industrial systems and equipment, including HVAC units, air compressors, rectifiers, shot peening machinery, and paint mixing systems. The technician will also perform MIG welding, fabricate custom tooling, and mentor junior staff. This position demands adaptability, technical proficiency, and strong communication in a fast-paced production environment.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Maintain consistent attendance and participate in rotating on-call support for production emergencies.
+ Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
+ Use and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
+ Operate facility equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, hoists, and power tools.
+ Perform routine and advanced maintenance on facility systems including powder coating lines, HVAC systems, and compressed air infrastructure.
+ Operate and maintain production equipment including ovens, dryers, paint booths, and air compressors.
+ Manage inventory and procurement of tools, parts, and materials for facility operations.
+ Execute Stick, MIG, and TIG welding tasks; fabricate racks and specialized tooling.
+ Use machine shop tools (lathe, drill press, grinder, milling machine) for part fabrication and repair.
+ Conduct plumbing and compressed air system maintenance.
+ Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on facility and production machinery.
+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
+ Estimate repair durations and coordinate maintenance around production schedules.
+ Inspect, test, and dismantle malfunctioning equipment to identify and resolve issues.
+ Occasionally lift heavy items or operate mechanical lifting devices.
+ Work in environments with exposure to chemicals, odors, and moderate noise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
+ Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
+ Proficiency in mechanical and electrical repair
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
+ Experience with PLC systems and industrial controls
+ Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
+ Preventive maintenance expertise
+ Familiarity with tanks, heaters, and pump systems
+ Basic plumbing and electrical skills
+ Effective verbal and written communication
+ Dependable attendance and work ethic
+ Hands-on experience in industrial equipment repair and fabrication
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr.
