Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you'll be integral to the assembly and disassembly of engines for a leading automotive company. This role involves working with fully manufactured engines, performing tasks such as component removal, coolant application, and leak testing. Additionally, you may operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently manage and ship engines.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble and disassemble engines, performing tasks such as removing components and applying coolant.
+ Conduct leak tests to ensure engine quality and functionality.
+ Operate forklifts, tuggers, and cherry pickers to move engines in a fast-paced warehousing and shipping environment.
+ Ensure safe and efficient material handling and shipping of engines to designated locations.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience in a production or warehouse environment.
+ 1+ years of experience in machine operation and/or forklift/hi-lo operation.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Willingness to submit to a background check and drug testing (THC).
+ Possession of steel toe shoes or boots.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of general production and assembly processes.
+ Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment
The work environment involves a fast-paced setting in a leading global company focused on sustainable mobility. Employees will work in a facility with five stations dedicated to handling engines for brands like GMC Acadia, Traverse, and Buick Enclave. Shifts are structured with three options: 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 2:42 PM, 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 10:42 PM, and 3rd shift from 10:30 PM to 6:42 AM starting Sunday night. Initially, all individuals will start on the 1st shift until the week of November 10.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holt, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.25/hr.
