Job Title: Chemistry Lab Technician
Overview:
Join a dynamic laboratory environment where your work directly supports critical scientific studies. As a Chemistry Lab Technician, you’ll be hands-on in the lab, preparing client test materials that are essential for downstream research activities. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in chemistry or life sciences who is eager to grow their skills and make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Spend approximately 90% of your time in the lab preparing test materials using wet chemistry techniques.
+ Perform tasks such as weighing materials, measuring pH, using graduated cylinders, mixing and heating samples.
+ After training, gain exposure to analytical instrumentation including UV-Vis, HPLC, and LC-MS.
+ Handle 10% administrative duties such as inventory management, documentation, and sample tracking.
+ Embrace a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities based on client needs.
What We’re Looking For:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related life science field.
+ Familiarity with wet chemistry methods and tools (e.g., pH probes, balances, graduated cylinders).
+ Experience with HPLC, LC-MS, or Mass Spectrometry (can be academic) is a plus.
+ Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
+ A growth mindset—we’re looking for someone eager to learn and expand their skill set over time.
Why This Role Matters:
Your work ensures that research teams have the materials they need to conduct critical studies. Without your contributions, testing cannot proceed. This is a foundational role with room to grow into advanced analytical techniques and broader responsibilities.
