    Job Title: Food Services Worker & Dishwasher

    Responsibilities

    + Wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils using industrial dishwashing equipment.

    + Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workspaces and storage areas.

    + Follow proper disinfection procedures and food safety standards.

    + Assist with meal preparation and food handling as needed.

    + Help organize and stock supplies.

    + Ensure workstations are clean and orderly.

    + Work closely with kitchen staff and dietary team members.

    + Take out trash and perform sweeping and mopping duties.

    + Provide meal service to patients, including menu selections, tray assembly, catering rounds, tray delivery, and retrieval.

    + Record intake and calorie counts and handle special requests.

    + Maintain galley and floor stock, ensuring efficient nourishment delivery to patients.

    + Deliver meals to assigned areas, document meals and calorie intake, and round on patients to meet dietary needs.

    + Assemble meal trays and menus in accordance with guidelines.

    + Communicate patient diets, meal delivery, and special requests with the patient care team.

    + Take lunch orders from patients and assist with tray building and other team tasks.

    Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in food service, cleaning, hospitality, and food preparation.

    + Ability to provide customer service in a professional and friendly manner.

    + Knowledge of food safety and portion guidelines.

    + Competence in assembling meals according to menu, diet order, and protocol.

    + Skill in cleaning and sanitizing workstations and utensils.

    + Ability to use equipment and materials safely.

    + Strong teamwork skills, particularly in a patient-facing environment..

     

    Shifts Available

     

    6:00am - 6:30pm

     

    11:00am - 7:30pm

     

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a hospital setting that is climate-controlled and clean, with significant patient interaction. Contractors are provided with uniforms and must have non-slip shoes.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Peters, Missouri.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
