Actively Screening for 100% Remote Pharmacy Technicians to join top managed care and healthcare company based out of Orlando, FL.
Job Description
Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician in the Appeals department, where you will work primarily with Medicare patients. Your main responsibility will be to manage denied Prior Authorizations, review information, and collaborate with Pharmacists to determine the outcome of appeals.
Responsibilities
+ Handle denied Prior Authorizations for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
+ Review provided information and reach out for additional details if needed.
+ Send cases to Pharmacists for final determination.
+ Make approximately 60 outbound calls per shift to Medicare/elderly members.
+ Manage calls with frustrated members whose medication has been denied.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy Technician certification.
+ Experience with pharmacy appeals and managed care.
+ Strong data entry and computer skills.
+ Excellent customer service skills, especially over the phone.
+ Ability to work independently and remotely.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with claims and denials.
+ Pharmacy Technicians experience.
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
Work Environment
This position is 100% remote, requiring a closed-door setting with limited distractions and HIPAA compliance. You must have strong WIFI connectivity. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM in your time zone, with flexibility for weekends and holidays. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
