    Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

    Job Description

    As a Quality Control Inspector, you will test and inspect products at various stages of the production process within a sheet metal manufacturing company. Your role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of products by evaluating statistical data and performing detailed inspections.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare dimensional documentation according to customer requirements for new products.

    + Perform inspections using variable and attribute gaging to determine dimensional conformance of products.

    + Evaluate products at specified stages in the production process for qualities such as cleanliness, paint quality, and appearance.

    + Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas, and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

    + Record data using statistical quality control procedures.

    + Evaluate data and document results to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

    + Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment capability limits.

    + Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

    + Provide guidance to production personnel and supervision on conformance of products to customer prints and specifications.

    + Responsible for the identification, documentation, and disposition of nonconforming products.

    + Actively participate in corrective action problem-solving exercises.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.

    + Experience with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and blueprint reading.

    + Prior experience in sheet metal inspection and general assembly.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with quality inspection tools including mics, calipers, and visual inspection techniques.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
