    3rd Shift General Laborer – Passenger Rail Support

    **Shift:** Sunday to Thursday, 9 pm to 5 am

    **Compensation:** $19+/hr

    About the Role

    + Join a dynamic team supporting the maintenance and repair of passenger rail cars and locomotives. As a **General Laborer** , you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness of rail equipment, while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, technical environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist mechanics in the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical components.

    + Support overhaul and maintenance activities for passenger railcars and locomotives.

    + Operate equipment such as forklifts, oil pumps, and overhead cranes (training provided).

    + Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including general cleaning and waste disposal.

    + Manage inventory by documenting, offloading, and tracking components and supplies.

    + Prepare outgoing shipments by loading trucks and maintaining accurate records.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior experience in general labor or industrial maintenance.

    + Proficiency with hand tools and cleaning equipment, including pressure washers.

    + Forklift operation experience preferred.

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    + Strong communication and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime

    Preferred Experience

    + Experience in the railroad or automotive industry.

    + Hands-on experience with electrical or mechanical systems.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
