Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler with three to five years of experience in complex machine building or repair. Familiarity with automotive engine and transmission repair is advantageous, as is experience in electronics, programmable controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics. This role requires minimal supervision, except in unique situations, and involves working with complex blueprints and bill of materials.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare component parts for assembly.

+ Balance shafts and rotating components.

+ Inspect component parts as needed.

+ Install motors into spindle housings.

+ Grease and lube specific parts during the assembly process.

+ Enter precise information into computer systems for quality and inspection reports.

+ Calculate and adjust preload in bearings as required.

Essential Skills

+ Knowledge of bearings, bearing functions, and proper bearing assembly protocol.

+ Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (G. D. & T.).

+ Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and bill of materials.

+ Experience with inspection computer software and ERP systems is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanical assembly of precise parts and spindles.

+ Experience with mechanical, electrical, and schematic assembly.

+ Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
