    Job Title: Linux Systems Engineer

    Job Description

    Research and implement methods to enhance the security of Linux builds within a secure build environment and integrate these improvements with existing automation workflows to ensure seamless and robust deployment processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement enhancements to the existing secure build process.

    + Integrate the enhancements with current automation tools and pipelines.

    + Collaborate with team members to document processes and share findings.

    Essential Skills

    + Foundational knowledge of Linux operating systems, including command-line proficiency, file systems, and basic administration tasks.

    + Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.

    + Basic knowledge of security principles, including secure coding practices, authentication, and access controls.

    + Exposure to automation and CI/CD pipelines, with experience in tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.

    + Experience with Docker or container technologies.

    + Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Previous coursework or project experience related to cybersecurity or DevOps.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    Work Environment

    This position is based in Boxborough, MA. The role requires in-office presence once or twice per month.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $46.00/hr.
