    As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for receiving, labeling, and safely storing biological specimens. You will prepare these specimens for testing according to established protocols, perform routine laboratory tests, and operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments. Your role will also include recording and analyzing test results with precision and accuracy, maintaining detailed documentation in both paper and electronic formats, and following safety guidelines when handling hazardous materials.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive, label, and safely store biological specimens.

    + Prepare specimens for testing according to established protocols.

    + Perform routine laboratory tests such as urinalysis, hematology, and chemistry.

    + Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.

    + Record and analyze test results with precision and accuracy.

    + Maintain detailed documentation and logs in both paper and electronic formats.

    + Follow safety guidelines when handling hazardous materials.

    + Assist with inventory management and supply stocking.

    + Collaborate with team members and communicate findings as needed.

    + Participate in continuing education and training programs.

    Essential Skills

    + 4-year science degree or MLS required.

    + Laboratory sample preparation and chemistry skills.

    + Familiarity with medical laboratory procedures.

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Familiarity with laboratory information systems and data entry.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience as a Lab Technician is a plus.

    + Knowledge of specialty testing, microscopy, and microbiology.

    + Skills in data analysis, quality control, and aseptic techniques.

    + Experience with laboratory instrumentation.

    + Must be willing to pass a color blind test.

    Work Environment

    Work at a medical facility in a LabCorp regional lab on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. You will be part of a team of 3-4 other technicians.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, Colorado.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
