    Job Title: Software EngineerJob Description

     

    Contribute to the development of innovative software solutions for railway systems. You will be part of a collaborative team working across the full software development lifecycle—from requirements analysis and architecture design to coding, testing, and deployment support.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in analyzing software requirements and designing system architecture.

    + Write clean, maintainable code and develop unit tests.

    + Contribute to technical documentation.

    + Support software integration and verification testing, collaborating with the IVVQ team.

    + Help monitor deployments and provide support for new features and updates.

    + Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of software solutions.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

    + Solid understanding of programming.

    + Familiarity with Spring Boot and/or Spring Batch.

    + Basic experience with Docker and containerized environments.

    + Exposure to Agile/SCRUM methodologies and CI/CD practices.

    + Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

    + Strong analytical and debugging skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

    + Basic UI development knowledge.

    + Exposure to cloud platforms and message-oriented middleware.

     

    Work Environment

     

    Hybrid work environment - 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.

    This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
