Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

The general laborer will work in the laminating department, responsible for attaching laminate to cabinet and counter surfaces, and ensuring the surfaces are well aligned and free of defects. The laminate is a thin plastic roll, and the glue is applied using a spray gun.

Responsibilities

+ Attach laminate to cabinet and counter surfaces.

+ Ensure laminated surfaces are well aligned and free of defects.

+ Use basic hand tools, tape measures, air tools, and small hand tools.

+ Demonstrate a willingness to learn and mechanical aptitude.

Essential Skills

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Ability to perform basic math functions.

+ Experience with hand and power tools.

+ Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in lamination or working with other countertop companies is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a custom cabinetry shop specializing in kitchens and bathrooms, which involves working in an environment with wood debris. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility for longer hours and some Saturdays as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr.
