Position Summary

Aetna International is currently recruiting for an Executive Director of Strategic Planning to help drive the organization’s success by addressing complex business challenges, identifying growth opportunities, enhancing thought leadership, and leading transformational initiatives.
This role leads the “Office of International” and is responsible for developing and communicating strategic plans, while ensuring operational alignment with Aetna International’s go-to-market strategy. The Office of International encompasses Strategic Planning, Organizational Governance, Project Management, Marketing, Product, Sales Enablement, and Sales Support.
You’ll make an impact by:
+ Partnering with the VP of International and the senior leadership team to develop and cascade the Aetna International strategy.
+ Developing, implementing and maintaining a governance structure that enables transparency, alignment, prioritization, and flexibility.
+ Prioritizing and executing cross-functional initiatives or projects that help Aetna International achieve its strategic goals.
+ Identifying issues/gaps in processes or the organization, coordinating analysis and challenging self and others to develop and implement solutions.
+ Leading the marketing, product and sales enablement teams to develop consistent and differentiated messaging, deliver innovative solutions and enable a best-in-class member experience.
+ Providing guidance, information, and direction to external/internal partners and cross-functional team members as required in support of initiatives.
+ Championing thought leadership, innovation, and change management to position Aetna International as a market leader.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have the following experience/knowledge/ability:
+ 10+ years leadership experience and technical/functional expertise in several of the following areas: management consulting, strategy execution, financial analysis, marketing, product, and/or project management.
+ Healthcare experience is required.
+ Keen ability to distill complex ideas into simpler frameworks and develop into communication vehicles for presentations/speeches.
+ Experience implementing enterprise-wide and/or cross-functional large-scale initiatives with high degree of complexity.
+ Strong business and financial acumen.
+ Comprehensive understanding of internal and external environmental influences on the business.
+ Demonstrated emotional intelligence amongst colleagues.
+ Effective communicator with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
+ Demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior levels within an organization and with external constituents.
+ Strong leadership skills, with the ability to synthesize vision, and deliver on concurrent initiatives.
+ Ability to travel up to 20% as business needs require.
+ Ability to work Hybrid Model in the Hartford office, or remote work arrangement (if not located near an office).
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
