Job Title: Calibration Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to perform calibrations, inspections, and measurements on test equipment to ensure measurement accuracy. This role involves using assigned calibration standards and procedures, documenting all aspects of calibration events in the Mudcats database, and assisting customers with traceability or procedural questions.
Responsibilities
+ Perform calibrations, inspections, and measurements on test equipment (IM&TE) to ensure measurement accuracy.
+ Use assigned calibration standards and procedures.
+ Document all aspects of calibration events in the Mudcats database.
+ Evaluate the contract and work order to ensure all work can be properly completed.
+ Assist customers with traceability or procedural questions in calibrations; resolve technical contract issues.
+ Develop and maintain preventative maintenance and laboratory safety/housekeeping programs, ensuring compliance.
+ Quantify sources of measurement error and determine measurement uncertainty.
+ Aid in the setup of processes and paperwork related to calibration.
+ Complete administrative tasks related to incoming calibrations as necessary.
+ Perform minor repairs as necessary.
+ Prepare certificates and IM&TE for packaging.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with ISO standards and procedures.
+ Hands-on calibration experience.
+ Knowledge of metrology principles.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The position involves working in a laboratory setting where safety and housekeeping protocols are strictly maintained. The role requires adherence to compliance standards and includes both hands-on tasks and administrative responsibilities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
