Position Summary
The Production Manager is a key position, responsible for ensuring that the work provided by planning is executed on time and within budget.
The Production Manager is accountable to always set and maintain the Pace of Play in the shop while daily demonstrating and coaching our companies Core Values.
The Production Manager is accountable for developing, coaching, and managing the production team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, while fostering a culture of safety. They manage and actively demonstrates compliance with safety policies and practices.
The Production Manager is accountable for overseeing and optimizing our manufacturing processes to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
The Production Manager is accountable for achieving safe production, on-time and on budget customer deliveries and meeting required quality standards.
The Production Manager is accountable for the implementation of improvements in the productivity, quality, and efficiency of the production operations.

Key or Essential Functions
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
• Champion performance metrics, driving the team to meet and exceed production targets.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and manage a team of production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, instilling a culture of excellence and efficiency, facilitating professional development and continuous improvement.
• Provides input to the and Planner/Scheduler on resource utilization as it relates to scheduling and manages those resources (labor and equipment) during production for maximum efficiency.
• Work with the Area Leads to plan, organize and direct manufacturing and maintenance operations ensuring the most effective return on assets.
• Identify equipment and training needs as well as providing training and documenting sufficient training required for use and operation of equipment.
• Monitor and manage attendance and performance of direct reports.
• Monitor, evaluate and communicate the performance of team members and timely completion of performance reviews and quarterly conversation designed to ensure team alignment.
2. Production Execution:
• Serves as subject matter expert on manufacturing processes within the shop. Engage other SME’s as needed to address gaps in personal knowledge / skills.
• The Production Manager must be a subject matter expert in the production-related areas of the company’s ERP System (JobBOSS).
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely material availability and on-time delivery of finished products.
• Ensure that jobs are staged in production areas to maintain smooth workflow and keep Production Personnel always engaged in work activities.
• Stay informed of current projects, production workload, and production processes. Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Identify and escalate barriers to timely job completion to drive problem resolution.
• Serve to expedite jobs through production when expedited delivery is required, either using available resources or by performing the work themselves when necessary.
• Administer all pre-Job and post-job reviews to identify and resolve barriers to smooth production and ensure quality delivery to customer expectations.
• Understand, maintain, and actively utilize ERP reporting and updating required data in the system.
• Update team on schedule changes and deadlines.
• Work with purchasing to maintain materials and supplies inventories at the correct levels.
• Manage and direct 5S activities to maintain a clean and orderly environment throughout all production areas.
• Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
3. Process Optimization:
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost overall production output.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering and slaes team to refine manufacturing processes and minimize inefficiencies.
• Troubleshoot production / quality related issues during production. Escalate as required for additional support Participates in performing root cause analysis for any abnormal conditions/failures and helping to implement required corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence of such conditions.
4. Health and Safety Compliance:
• Ensure production processes adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.
• Instill a safety-first culture, implementing protocols to minimize workplace hazards and risks.
5. Quality Production:
• Establish and maintain rigorous quality control measures, guaranteeing products meet or surpass industry standards while meeting customer expectations.
• Hold monthly quality meeting
• Enforce quality assurance protocols and conduct regular audits to uphold a reputation for top-tier product quality.
• Utilize and require the use of existing quality control processes, procedures and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
• Ensure quality level pertaining to customer expectations is conveyed from quoting to planning via drawings, traveler, first article or other documentation.
• Perform QC activities on all products leaving the shop as required and directed. This duty may be delegated to other team members, but such delegation does not relieve the Production Manager of overall responsibility.
6. Budget Oversight:
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to optimize production costs.
• Participate in post job reviews and meetings.
Secondary Functions
• Work with engineering, quoting, and quality teams as needed to support manufacturing
• Oversee, track and review maintenance of equipment. Report defects, failures, and other needs to the Operations Manager for resolution.
• If required. actively supports planning activities including planning Level 1 and 2 jobs.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
