Job Title: Architectural DesignerJob Description
Architectural Designers using Revit are responsible for supporting the planning, design, and documentation of building projects. The role involves assisting in conceptualizing layouts, determining spatial and functional requirements, and preparing design specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Assist senior architects or project managers in design development.
+ Create scaled drawings and detailed 3D models using Autodesk Revit, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and renderings for presentations and construction documentation.
+ Participate in submittal reviews, respond to RFIs, and issue ASIs during the construction phase.
+ Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure design accuracy and integration across disciplines.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
+ Experience in construction documentation and detailing.
+ Strong design development skills.
+ Ability to interface with clients and participate in meetings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Degree from an accredited Architecture or Architectural Drafting Program.
+ 5-7 years of professional experience.
+ Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Word, and Excel.
+ Knowledge of building codes and other design codes preferred.
+ Strong presentation and sketching abilities.
+ Ability to envision and enact design concepts.

The company is a multidisciplinary firm renowned for its architecture, civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and surveying services. The architecture team, currently comprised of 8 members, seeks to expand and offers learning opportunities and upward mobility. Hybrid workdays are available after several months of training and onboarding.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bel Air, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
