Job Title: Finishing Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Finishing Carpenter who can construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. The ideal candidate should be able to respond to all locations within the Territory, including Henderson, Faribault, New Ulm, and Fairmont. This role requires experience in drywall and texturing, painting, and tile laying for flooring and walls. You will utilize hand tools and power tools effectively and collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.

Responsibilities

+ Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.

+ Perform tasks related to drywall and texturing.

+ Execute painting duties as needed.

+ Lay tiles for flooring and walls as required.

+ Effectively use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks.

+ Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.

+ Perform frame carpentry tasks, including building frameworks for roofs, doors, windows, and staircases.

+ Conduct remodeling projects by assessing existing structures and implementing improvements.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience in carpentry or related field.

+ Familiarity with drywall.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in tile laying is a plus.

+ Basic understanding of electrical work can enhance versatility on the job site.

+ Previous experience working on construction sites is highly desirable.

Work Environment

The role requires the ability to travel within the Territory, including Henderson, Faribault, New Ulm, and Fairmont. The work involves collaborating with other tradespeople on construction sites, ensuring a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Mankato, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
