    Job Description

    We are seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer with strong software skills to join our team. This role blends model-based systems engineering (MBSE) with hands-on software engineering to support the development and integration of complex systems. The ideal candidate will be passionate about applying MBSE methodologies to real-world software systems, enabling traceability, validation, and performance optimization across mission-critical platforms.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain MBSE models that represent system behaviors, software interfaces, and component interactions using tools like Cameo Systems Modeler.

    + Collaborate with software engineers to ensure MBSE models align with software architecture and implementation in C++ and Python.

    + Support the design and analysis of embedded and distributed systems, focusing on software functionality, performance, and interoperability.

    + Translate system-level requirements into software specifications and interface definitions.

    + Conduct trade studies and simulations to evaluate software design choices and system performance.

    + Participate in code reviews, integration testing, and debugging of C++/Python-based systems.

    + Communicate technical insights and model findings to stakeholders across engineering disciplines.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

    + 3+ years of experience in MBSE modeling and software development.

    + Proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in developing and debugging complex software systems.

    + Experience with SysML and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler.

    + Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.

    + Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with embedded systems, avionics, or mission systems.

    + Familiarity with real-time systems, TSN, or distributed architectures.

    + Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control systems (e.g., Git).

    + Exposure to simulation environments or modeling frameworks (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ROS).

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $90.00/hr.
