Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic 5-person team focused on developing and sustaining natural gas sensor products. This role blends embedded software development with rigorous testing to ensure each feature meets performance and safety requirements. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to bring new products to life and maintain existing systems.
Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, and test embedded software using C/C++ and FreeRTOS
+ Participate in new product development and support existing product lines
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ME, FE, EE, ManuE) throughout the product lifecycle
+ Troubleshoot and resolve firmware/software issues in embedded systems
+ Conduct hands-on testing using tools likemultimeters and oscilloscopes
+ Ensure all features are thoroughly vetted and meet design specifications
+ Contribute to bothdevelopment (60%)andtesting (40%)efforts, with flexibility based on project needs
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong proficiency inC programmingfor embedded systems
+ Experience with FreeRTOSor similar real-time operating systems
+ Experience in embedded software development and testing
+ Familiarity with hardware debugging tools (multimeter, oscilloscope)
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
+ Proven experience innew product development and full lifecycle engineering
Nice to Have
+ Experience with natural gas sensorsor similar safety-critical systems
+ Knowledge of C++in embedded environments
+ Experience with Zepyhr
+ Familiarity with Agile development practices
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
