Job Title: Area Manager
Actalent is currently looking for semiconductor equipment installation talent who are seeking an exciting opportunity at an expanding construction site in the Boise, Idaho area. We're seeking folks with equipment installation experience, operations management, and general project management and coordination skills. Roles may include Area Manager, Site Manager, Operations Manager, or similar.
Job Description
The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing field operations across multiple customer locations or a major individual site. This role involves managing larger teams ranging from 20-40 employees and contractors, ensuring the successful execution of projects through strategic planning, collaboration, and leadership.
Responsibilities
+ Promote and enforce safety standards across all operational levels.
+ Ensure quality benchmarks are met and facilitate smooth transitions to customer service teams.
+ Lead recruitment, training, and supervision of technical, safety, and leadership staff.
+ Maintain strong client relationships through meetings, site visits, and team leadership.
+ Oversee projects exceeding $50 million and manage multiple locations.
+ Administer labor and contractor budgets over $5 million, with teams under 200 personnel.
+ Resolve issues proactively and manage escalations effectively.
+ Mentor site leaders to meet project goals.
+ Identify and onboard new talent, fostering future leadership and technical expertise.
+ Collaborate with internal departments and international partners to support initiatives.
+ Strengthen team cohesion and organizational strategy.
+ Partner with procurement to evaluate and improve contractor performance.
+ Support senior operations leaders in executing long-term strategies.
+ Plan project resources and coordinate with leadership on staffing and scheduling.
+ Align with global operations to implement shared goals.
+ Drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
+ Work with international teams to ensure successful project completion.
+ Establish and track key performance indicators for each project.
+ Manage budgets in partnership with account managers and directors.
+ Diagnose and resolve system-level issues, including software and hardware.
+ Ensure high-quality installations across North American sites.
+ Responsible for hiring, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience leading complex projects or sites.
+ Experience in managing large-scale technical/equipment installations and customer-facing roles.
+ Ability to interpret customer specifications and lead discussions on project execution.
+ Skilled in report writing and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities and technical comprehension.
+ Capable of interpreting complex instructions and managing abstract challenges.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Technical degree is a plus.
+ Familiarity with automated systems and basic PLC/electromechanical knowledge.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
+ Strong leadership, communication, and adaptability.
+ Able to remain composed under pressure.
Work Environment
This role is onsite in Boise, Idaho, with up to 25% travel to various sites for meetings. Regular use of hands and arms, with occasional standing, walking, sitting, climbing, and lifting up to 25 pounds is required. The position involves frequent work in cleanroom settings and occasional exposure to mechanical equipment, with moderate noise levels typical of industrial environments.
We will consider talent not local to the Boise area, although anyone from that area is a bonus. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Boise and ideally start work before end of year 2025.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $67.00/hr.
