    Job Posting: Administrative Assistant – Higher Education

     

    Employment Type: Contract to Hire

     

    Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual looking to make an impact in the higher education sector? Our client, a reputable institution in the Springfield, MA area, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support their team in executing day-to-day operations seamlessly.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide administrative support, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and drafting correspondence.

    + Organize and maintain digital and physical files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible.

    + Serve as the front-line contact for internal and external communications, including responding to inquiries from staff, faculty, and students.

    + Assist in the coordination of events, workshops, or departmental activities.

    + Process purchase orders, invoices, and other financial or departmental paperwork.

    + Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.

    + Support departmental initiatives, including data collection and analysis, as needed.

    Requirements:

    + Proven experience in an administrative, office support, or similar role.

    + Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and familiarity with Google Workspace and Workday.

    + Relevant experience in the higher education industry is preferred but not required.

    + Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and remain focused in a dynamic environment.

    + A proactive and collaborative mindset, with strong problem-solving skills.
