Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support a leading client in the biotech industry. As a Senior Accountant in the biotech industry, you will play a vital role in overseeing the financial activities of the organization. Your technical expertise and ability to manage complex accounting processes will help ensure regulatory compliance and accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.

+ Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure compliance with GAAP.

+ Prepare and coordinate financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and budget variance analysis

+ Assist in the preparation for audits, ensuring regulatory compliance and proper documentation.

+ Collaborate with internal teams on budget preparation, forecasting, and project cost analysis.

+ Track and analyze expenditures related to research and development (R& D) activities.

+ Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, including tracking grants and funding.

+ Provide financial insights to support decision-making and business strategy.

+ Lead initiatives to streamline accounting processes and ensure automation to maximize efficiency.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification or equivalent is preferred.

+ 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the biotech, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related industries.

+ Strong understanding of GAAP and biotech-specific regulations, including accounting for R& D and grants.

+ Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar software).

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial reporting and analysis.

+ Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy in high-pressure situations.

+ Exceptional communication skills for collaboration across departments and reporting to leadership.
