Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to donor operations, event management, and financial bookkeeping in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

STRONG Excel Skills

• Process and record incoming donations while ensuring precise data entry into DonorPerfect systems.

• Draft and distribute acknowledgment letters and thank-you notes in a timely manner.

• Track event-specific data, including pledges, sponsorships, and table sales for gala and other events.

• Manage routine bookkeeping tasks such as reconciling accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable, and performing bank reconciliations.

• Utilize ERP software and other tools to maintain accurate financial records.

• Support grant writing initiatives as needed to enhance organizational funding efforts.

• Monitor and update donor databases to ensure information remains current and complete.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial and operational processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in bookkeeping practices and STRONG Excel Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and maintaining financial accuracy.

• Ability to manage donor databases and ensure proper data entry.

• Familiarity with processing donations and event-related financial tracking.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of grant writing is a plus.

• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
